Job Overview:

The Outbound Business Development Specialist will be responsible for initiating contact with potential clients, adding value to the CivicPlus brand, and creating demand for CivicPlus products and services. As an Outbound Business Development Specialist, you will conduct thorough research and utilize multiple prospecting tools to identify entities inside our target market within a specified region which may be in the market for improvements in their various software solutions. You will have constant daily involvement in our CRM - Salesforce Lightning, as well as Hubspot Lead Forensics, GovSpend, and Office365. You will maintain a high activity count through phone, email and specific social-media outreach methods and will represent CivicPlus as the first point of contact with potential clients. You will nurture these contacts long-term, when necessary, in order to qualify them to proceed to the next step in the sales cycle. You will identify and track market trends, develop critical reporting and be involved in constant process improvement as part of the Business Development Team. 

What we will expect you to do....

Clearly and succinctly communicate the company’s value proposition via phone and email 
Help team achieve all product goals by working in coordination with Product Marketing Managers to develop campaigns, templates and sequences based on specific personas and/or government competitors within various regions 
Use qualifying conversation strategies to ensure CivicPlus products are a right-fit for the prospect 
Ensure a clean handoff to an Account Executive, when prospect approaches a buying decision 
Identify your own stats/trends to maintain a prospecting portfolio with a high conversion rate 
Achieve weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual goals 
Log all communication in real-time in the CRM 
Demonstrate exceptional core values and a positive attitude, in all situations
