Entry Level Carpenter

Job Description

The primary function of the Carpenter is to work as part of the crew in completing a construction project in a timely manner with good quality.  Additionally, our carpenters must be well versed in all the necessary elements of the construction project assigned.

Qualifications

Thorough knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair and remodeling of houses.  Thorough operating knowledge of all carpenter hand tools and power tools, including their safe uses, repair and maintenance.  Ability to communicate well with both management and crew. Ability to work with crew to successfully complete projects.  Ability to get along with people.  Ability to read plans. Be able to identify hazzards associated with construction and keep themselves and others out of danger.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include helping complete projects om time and ensure job quality. Operate hand and power tools in a safe manner. Be self motivated to work in a productive and efficient manner. Maintain positive relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and customers. Maintain a clean and safe work site, which includes housekeeping, safe material storage, locating hazzards on a job site and either take corrective action or clearly mark the hazzard to keep the public safe.

Salary/Pay

Hourly pay dependent on skills and experiance. Entry level carpenter positions will start ~$17-$21 hourly. Individual retirement acount, and vacation pay.
