Mike Matson

Mike Matson is Director of External Affairs for the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce. Born in Manhattan, Mike grew up in Rooks County and Wichita. His professional career has encompassed journalism, politics/government and advocacy. Mike is a proud graduate of the former Brown Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he gained skills and knowledge related to the broadcasting industry. Mike covered politics and government for WIBW-TV in Topeka, which opened the door for service as Communications Director for Kansas Gov. Bill Graves. Mike also served in a host of management positions with Kansas Farm Bureau. He and his wife live in Manhattan.
