Manhattan Area Technical College is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors.  This is accomplished through innovative security measure, integrated timely notification systems, security personnel, and cooperation with all local emergency agencies.

We employ security for the safety of all present in the building. Security is available for escorts to vehicles or safety concerns.

What can students do?

1. Know what to do in emergencies.
2. Be aware of the environment around you.
3. Lock your doors. Never leave textbooks or laptops unattended.
4. Walk in groups, report suspicious activities to Campus Security or Student Services.
