Program Conditions

Academic Progress

To remain in the MHK Pathway program, students enroll in courses at both Manhattan Tech and Kansas State University each semester. Participants are required to complete a minimum of 9 transferable credit hours at Manhattan Tech and 3 credit hours at K-State during both the fall and spring semesters.

To transition to K-State as a degree-seeking student for the following academic year, students must:

  • Successfully complete at least 24 cumulative college credit hours through the MHK Pathway program.
  • Earn a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
  • Meet K-State's transfer admission requirements and submit an updated K-State admission application.

Our faculty and student support staff are committed to helping MHK Pathway students stay on track and achieve these academic milestones.

As an MHK Pathway student, you'll be part of both the Manhattan Tech and Kansas State University communities. Because you're enrolled at both institutions, you'll be expected to follow the academic integrity standards and student conduct policies of each school.

Academic Integrity

Questions or concerns related to coursework are handled by the institution where the course is taken. For example:

  • Courses taken at Manhattan Tech follow Manhattan Tech's academic integrity policies and procedures.
  • Courses taken at Kansas State University follow K-State's academic integrity policies and procedures.

When appropriate, both institutions work together to address situations involving enrollment at both campuses. Students participating in MHK Pathway sign a commitment agreement acknowledging these expectations and authorizing the appropriate sharing of information between the two institutions.

Student Conduct

Students are also responsible for following the student conduct policies of both Manhattan Tech and K-State while participating in the program.

Violations of either institution's code of conduct may result in disciplinary action by the respective institution and could affect a student's participation in the MHK Pathway program. As part of the MHK Pathway Commitment Form, students acknowledge these expectations and authorize communication between both institutions when necessary.

To provide the best possible support throughout the MHK Pathway program, Manhattan Tech and Kansas State University work together by sharing relevant student information related to admissions, enrollment, academic progress, and student services.

Participation in the program requires students to authorize this information sharing by signing the MHK Pathway Commitment Form. This collaboration allows both institutions to monitor student progress, coordinate support services, and help students successfully transition to K-State.

Students who choose to discontinue participation in the MHK Pathway program may opt out at any time by notifying the Kansas State University Office of Admissions.
