Title IX and Non-Discrimination Policy

Manhattan Tech is committed to providing a workplace and educational environment, as well as other benefits, programs, and activities, that are free from discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. To ensure compliance with federal and state civil rights laws and regulations, and to affirm its commitment to promoting the goals of fairness and equity in all aspects of the educational program or activity, Manhattan Tech has developed internal policies and procedures that provide a prompt, fair, and impartial process for those involved in an allegation of discrimination or harassment on the basis of protected class status, and for allegations of retaliation.

Equal Opportunity, Harassment, and Non-Discrimination Policy

This policy applies to all students, faculty, and staff. The policy includes discrimination, discriminatory harassment, retaliation, sexual misconduct, and sexual harassment covered under Title IX.

Complaints or notice of alleged policy violations, or inquiries about or concerns regarding this policy and procedures, may be made internally using the following methods:

  1. File a report or Formal Complaint with or give verbal notice to Title IX.
  2. Report online, using the reporting form posted:

    Submit a Report

Anonymous reports are accepted but can give rise to a need to investigate to determine if the parties can be identified. If not, no further formal action is taken, though measures intended to protect the community may be enacted. Warren Wilson College tries to provide supportive measures to all Complainants, which may be impossible with an anonymous report that does not identify the Complainant.

Because reporting carries no obligation to initiate a formal response, and because Manhattan Tech respects Complainant requests to dismiss complaints unless there is a compelling threat to health and/or safety, the Complainant is largely in control and should not fear a loss of confidentiality by making a report that allows the College to discuss and/or provide supportive measures.
