Manhattan Tech underwent its most recent comprehensive accreditation visit by a team of consultant evaluators from the Higher Learning Commission on October 25 – 27, 2010.  On February 25, 2011, Dr. Robert Edleston, President/CEO, was notified that the Institutional Actions Council (IAC) of the Higher Learning Commission voted to uphold the recommendation of the team of consultant-evaluators and continued the accreditation of Manhattan Area Technical College.

Manhattan Tech does not hold, nor does it plan to seek, dual institutional accreditation with any accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (ED) or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).  However, Manhattan Tech is a member of the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE), the American Technical Education Association (ATEA), the Kansas Association for Career and Technical Education (K-ACTE), and the Kansas Council for Workforce Education (KCWE).
