Ellsworth County Medical Center (ECMC) is seeking a full-time Clinic and Outpatient Float Nurse (LPN or RN) to support our Rural Health Clinic and specialty services providers and patients. This vital role helps deliver exceptional, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, collaborative clinic and outpatient environment. Qualifications:

Is This You? 

  • Passionate about helping others and providing excellent patient care

Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of nursing required. Minimum 2 years’ experience in acute care setting preferred. 

  • Excellent skills in organization, prioritization, and multi-tasking. 
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and technical skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to explain diverse technical problems in easy-to-understand language. 
  • Strong independent judgment and decision-making skills. 
  • Must have advanced computer and Microsoft program skills, electronic medical record experience, and the ability to operate necessary nursing equipment. 

    Certifications/Registrations: 

  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse or Practical Nurse in the State of Kansas, CPR 

Job Responsibilities

What You’ll Do 

  • Provider Support – Assist with patient assessments, administer medications, prepare for and assist during exams/procedures, and provide follow-up care instructions 
  • Patient Coordination – Prepare exam rooms, collect medical histories and vitals, and ensure smooth patient flow throughout the visit 
  • Health Education – Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and general wellness in partnership with providers 
  • Clinical Documentation – Accurately chart in the EMR while maintaining compliance with standards and regulations 
  • Team Collaboration – Work alongside clinic staff, providers, and other departments to create a seamless, patient-first experience 

Salary/Pay

Competitive Pay – $17+ based on credentials and experience
