Dan Strom

Dan Strom is a lifelong Kansas whose long career has touched many aspects of technology: engineering, technical architecture, technical training, programming, network management, compliance, cybersecurity, and people. He has served on both local and state-wide boards and advisory committees in both the private and public sectors.

He has been with Kansas Farm Bureau since before the turn of the century serving in purely technical and several managerial roles, working across business functions. Currently he oversees technical and cybersecurity functions ensuring proper planning, application of technology, and adequate cyber defenses to the organization’s needs.

He formed SureDefense Strategies LLC in 2020 with the purpose of helping small and mediumsized organizations create, develop, and maintain a reasonable cybersecurity stance, and be reasonably protected from those who want to exploit them. Some of the verticals he has worked with include finance, healthcare, education, and non-profits.

Dan is a graduate of Kansas State University in electrical engineering and has a graduate degree in biblical studies from Dallas Theological Seminary. He is active in the community through his church, civic organizations and schools. Dan lives in Manhattan with this wife of 30+ years. He has two adult sons and two grandchildren.
