InGenesis is seeking a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our team supporting the Army Dental Command (DENCOM) at Fort Riley, KS. Position Overview

You’ll provide preventive dental care and hygiene services to eligible beneficiaries of the military healthcare system. This role offers consistency, teamwork, and the chance to make a meaningful impact supporting our military community.

Responsibilities
  • Examine the oral cavity (mouth, throat, pharynx) and record findings.
  • Identify abnormalities and refer patients to a dentist as needed.
  • Apply desensitizing agents and topical treatments.
  • Educate patients individually and in groups on proper oral hygiene.
  • Demonstrate brushing, flossing, and periodontal aid techniques.
  • Explain causes of tooth decay and its relationship to diet.
  • Take impressions; construct sports/safety mouthguards and soft night guards.
  • Polish restorations and apply pit and fissure sealants.
  • Perform chairside dental assisting when directed.
  • Record patient treatments and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Clean, sharpen, and sterilize instruments.
  • Ensure instruments and equipment remain in proper working condition.
  • Support patient workload, readiness, and scheduling using the Corporate Dental Application.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program.
  • Active, current, unrestricted Dental Hygienist license in any U.S. state or territory.
  • Coursework must include:
    • Radiation physics, biology, health/safety, protection
    • X‑ray films/digital radiography
    • Image quality and radiographic techniques
      (Must meet/exceed 42 CFR Part 75 standards.)
  • At least 1 year of experience in the last 2 years.
  • Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross).

(Primary clinic assignment provided; periodic support at other on‑installation clinics may be required.)

Compensation & Benefits
  • Health & Welfare: $5.09/hr (paid out or applied to health insurance).
  • Health Insurance Eligibility:
    Eligible on the 1st of the month after 30 days of service (if averaging 30+ hours/week for at least 3 months).
  • PTO:
    • Accrues at 3.08 hours per 80 hours worked (≈ 2 weeks/year for new hires).
    • 2 weeks vacation after 1 year; 3 weeks after 5 years; 4 weeks after 15 years.
  • 11 Paid Federal Holidays
  • Sick Leave:
    1 hour accrued per 30 hours worked (up to 56 hours/year).
  • Closures:
    Compensation only for hours actually worked during command closures, weather, holidays, etc.
  • Professional Appearance:
    Clean, neat uniforms; laundered daily.
