Emily has called Kansas home for many years and earned her B.B.A in Management from Fort Hays State University. She believes in promoting access to technical education for all students and creating an environment where every student can thrive. She is also a proud parent of a MATC graduate! In her downtime, Emily loves cooking and baking for her family, watching sports, especially football and UFC, and spending time with her grandson.
Steffan is a native Kansan with a B.S. in Human Development and Family Science from Kansas State University. He defines success as a blend of staying informed, actively listening, navigating through tough conversations with grace, adapting to change, and maintaining a positive outlook. He believes selling yourself short is never an option. Outside of work, Steffan enjoys playing basketball, cruising through town, and exploring nature trails with his dog.

Beth Dugan serves as an Academic Advisor for the GED Program at Manhattan Area Technical College, where she is dedicated to empowering adult learners on their path to educational and career success. With a strong commitment to student support, Beth works closely with individuals from diverse backgrounds, helping them navigate the challenges of completing their high school equivalency and planning next steps in higher education or the workforce.
Lauren is a Manhattan native who earned her B.A. in Family Studies and Human Services from Kansas State University. Lauren advocates technical education as she believes students will save time and money and get a career-focused education. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, cooking and baking, and is a proud supporter of anything K-State, Royals, and Kansas City Chiefs.
