Extending Spring Break/COVID-19 Information - Campus Closed

Details

Attention Manhattan Tech Students/Community:

With the growing concerns nationwide surrounding the discussion of the coronavirus and how it’s affecting educational institutions, Manhattan Tech’s administration has developed a pandemic preparedness procedure. The plan developed follows recommendations and directives from governmental authorities such as the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Kansas Department of Public Health (KDPH), and the Riley County Health Department (RCHD).

Due to the recent development of the virus in Kansas, Manhattan Tech has made the determination to extend Spring Break through March 20, 2020. The campus will be CLOSED and inaccessible to all students, faculty, staff, and community members. All classes and events are cancelled for the week. Additional information and updates will be available on the website, Canvas, Manhattan Tech Email, and communicated through all media avenues.

For guidance on prevention of COVID-19 refer to this informational handout provided by the Riley County Health Department.

Manhattan Tech administration will continue to monitor the situation and will provide additional communication to students as decisions are made. We appreciate everyone’s support at this time of uncertainty and hope everyone stays safe and healthy!
