HVAC Mechanic

Job Description

• Duties: The Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Mechanic must be able to service and repair AHU’s, centrifugal fans and commercial/industrial environmental-control systems. They must be able to install and modify and repair refrigeration –hermetic, semi-hermetic, mechanical, screw, scroll and centrifugal units up to 500 tons. Air conditioning, ventilation, computer room units, process coolers, ice machines, evaporative coolers, air compressors and related control systems. Including pneumatic and DDC and BAS (building automation control systems). Other duties as assigned.
• Abilities/Skills/Knowledge Required by the Position: Ability to climb and work at heights, walking and standing for extended periods of time, lifting, bending, pushing and moving objects up to 75 pounds. Interpret and work from plans, diagrams, blueprints, shop drawings, sketches and specifications. Operate specialized machinery, equipment and tools utilized in the repair and maintenance of heating, ventilation and air conditioning.

• Employees may be subject to immunization and testing requirements pursuant to Client and current Company requirements.
• Employees must meet the requirements of the federal credentialing process to access the facility, which includes but is not limited to, obtaining facility access (aka PIV card, smart card, access card, badge) and meeting ongoing training and access requirements.
• Employees may be required to participate in the select agent program which would include additional background investigations, training, and performing work in a bio containment facility, as well as meeting ongoing program requirements to maintain eligibility and compliance.
• Required: Certification EPA Certified in Refrigerant - Type Universal

Salary/Pay

Pay: $35.77/hr. plus fringe benefit of $9.87/hr.
