The Agronomy Department at Kansas State University is looking for a HVAC Technician to provide preventive maintenance, diagnosis and repair refrigerant equipment not limited to walk-in coolers, growth chambers, refrigeration and freezers. This individual will directly support laboratories located throughout Throckmorton Plant Science Center by providing preventative maintenance and all repairs to exhaust fans, fume hoods and Reverse Osmosis System.
Minimum Qualifications:
Repair of all specialized refrigeration equipment used throughout the Throckmorton Plant Science Center complex to include but not limited to growth chambers, refrigerators, freezers, incubators, walk-in coolers/freezers, ultra-low and centrifuges by using schematic drawings, technician equipment, and computerized trouble shooting system. Communicate the status of repairs in progress. Develop a system to organize workorders and invoice customers using the computer.
Record and document repairs.
$46,176 - $64,140 ($22.20 - $30.84).

Actual salary will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, education, internal equity and departmental funding. Salary offers are typically made between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range. The range indicated includes both the typical hiring range and potential future progression.
