Associate Degree Nursing (Transfer-In) Admission Checklist

Your applicant status portal will display any outstanding requirements and track your application progress.

SEND OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS

Send an official high school transcript or GED transcript. Send official transcripts from ALL current and previously attended colleges/universities.

Transcripts must be official—sent directly from the high school or college to Manhattan Tech. If the institution has the capability, official transcripts can be sent via email to transcripts@manhattantech.edu. Please apply to the college before sending transcripts.

SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH AN ACADEMIC ADVISOR

Meeting with an academic advisor is recommended to ensure you understand the admission requirements and application process. Additional meetings can be set up throughout the application process to answer any questions. To schedule an advising appointment, book online.

COMPLETE PREREQUISITES (must earn a grade of “C” or higher)

Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology with Lab, English Composition I, Public Speaking or Interpersonal Communication, Human Growth and Development, Nutrition, Technical Math II or Higher, and General Psychology. Additional information can be found HERE.

OBTAIN ACTIVE KANSAS-RECOGNIZED LPN LICENSE – RECOGNIZED BY NURSE LICENSURE COMPACT (NLC)

SUBMIT IMMUNIZATIONS & REVIEW NURSING ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND FUNCTIONAL ABILITIES

Submit documentation for required immunizations (MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hepatitis B, and COVID) or complete the approved religious or medical exemption process. More Information about immunizations can be found HERE.

SCHEDULE & COMPLETE THE ATI ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY ASSESSMENT - BY THE APPLICATION DEADLINE

For information on how to schedule the ADN entrance exam, refer HERE. It is important to schedule the exam in advance to ensure a seat is available.

MEET ENGLISH PROFICIENCY STANDARDS, IF APPLICABLE

COMPLETE SELECTIVE ADMISSION APPLICATION

Complete the application and upload the appropriate information on the selective admissions application within your applicant status portal after completion of all requirements.

*It is the responsibility of the student to ensure that all required materials for the application are received by the application deadline date. Reminder calls will not be made if something is missing or does not meet the criteria, and the application may be invalid. The responsibility for a complete and accurate application is the students. Any submissions not meeting the above criteria will be reviewed at the discretion of the Director of Nursing Education or designee and based upon program capacity.
