This position is on-site located in Manhattan, KS near Kansas State University. This internship is open immediately as of January 1st. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position. 

 

The Systems Intern accurately troubleshoots hardware and software issues and provides detailed technical assistance to the end user for all PC and peripheral systems.  The position performs tasks associated with servers, network, and other equipment as directed.

Qualifications:

Required Background, Competencies & Expertise:

  • Experience with troubleshooting PCs, peripheral systems, and software.
  • Detail orientation

  • Ability to consistently deliver frequent and timely feedback that is clear, specific, and actionable

 

Preferred Background, Competencies & Expertise:

  • Enrolled in courses/receiving training for Information and Network Technology or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • In training for/planning to complete certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, etc.

     

Job Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides help desk assistance to end users to include PC, peripherals, phone, and software support
  • Troubleshoots, repairs, and reloads or images new and used systems for deployment
  • Applies necessary hardware and software updates as directed
  • Assists in maintaining system and network security as it applies to new, current, and terminated employees
  • Maintains an inventory of all owned software licenses and hardware. Ensures zero tolerance software license compliance

Physical & Work Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 75 pounds

 

Salary/Pay
