Julie Crimmins serves as the Director of Inpatient Services at Clay County Medical Center. She oversees multiple departments, including the medical-surgical and OB/nursery nursing units, emergency services, pharmacy, and quality. With over a decade in leadership roles, Julie's career spans over 17 years of clinical experience in emergency care, peri-anesthesia, home health, hospice, and medical-surgical nursing, as well as 13 years of leadership in surgical services, inpatient care, quality/risk management, and regulatory compliance. Prior to her current role, she held executive positions at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, MO, and at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO. Julie also serves as the vice chair of the Kansas Hospital Association Quality & Safety Committee, the District 3 Chairperson of the Kansas Organization of Nurse Leaders, and is a member of the Kansas Association of Risk & Quality Managers (KARQM).
A Kansas native, Julie moved back to her home state three years ago. She feels very honored to represent Clay county on the MATC board supporting the growth and education of our future workforce and reconnecting with the communities where her parents grew up in Riley and Pottawatomie counties. Outside of work, she cherishes her time with her husband, Lance, and their four grown sons. Julie enjoys gardening, working in her greenhouse, and spending time outdoors on the farm. She also loves traveling and visiting family, making the most of every opportunity to connect with loved ones.
