 What We Manufacture and Sell 

Axiota’s non-antibiotic solutions prepare cattle to thrive during transition and stress and support producers’ goals of optimal health, performance, and animal well-being. 

 Axiota’s field-based sales and technical teams support beef and dairy producers and their technical advisors. Our current cattle product platform includes Multimin® 90, an injectable trace mineral used for strategic supplementation of cattle, and Lactipro®, a rumen native probiotic that promotes healthy rumen function and stabilizes pH. Axiota plans to expand both platforms to additional species and applications in the future. 

Role

At Axiota, we are currently seeking a Laboratory Assistant who is dedicated and pays close attention to detail. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory environment.  The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks, including ensuring a continuous supply of media.

Qualifications:

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in laboratory techniques is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs and safety protocols.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and procedures.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities: 

  • Perform floor care duties including sweeping, mopping, and upkeep of cleanliness in laboratories, shoe rooms, and hallways.
  • Conduct surface care tasks such as dusting, sanitizing, and cleaning of glass, mirrors, and windows.
  • Ensure proper waste removal by emptying trash bins, autoclaving or sterilizing trash as needed, and transporting waste to designated disposal areas.
  • Maintain general housekeeping standards by cleaning, washing, rinsing, sterilizing, packaging, and distributing laboratory materials and glassware.
  • Assist in maintaining adequate stock levels of laboratory supplies and materials.
  • Support inventory management tasks including reception and placement of new inventory as required.
  • Maintain a constant supply of media and solutions to MS Biotec Laboratories.
  • Prepare solutions and media as needed in laboratories according to MS Biotec SOPs.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and concise laboratory records for media prep documentation.
  • Help maintain laboratories and work areas stocked.
  • Follow Good Laboratory Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices.

Salary/Pay

Salary Range: $15.00 To 17.00 Hourly
