Lenel System Specialist

Job Description

The Lenel Systems Specialist is responsible for supporting/Installing Lenel Security systems to include video, access and intrusion solutions. Providing instruction and advice for system users internally and externally. Analyzing hardware problems and issues related to the system software. Support coordination efforts for pre-con and account managers to provide /develop scope of work and best practice.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Serve as a primary point of contact for all application service and or project needs

· Serve as a primary point of contact for all integration and networking needs for service and operations

· Proactively work with existing customer configurations using phone, email and remote connections to identify system issues, notify service team management and work with them to schedule a local tech if needed

· Work with the Operations, Pre-con and Service for goals and objectives / Onsite work may be required

· Send real time updates to all appropriate parties

· Work with onsite technicians to resolve project and service requests as needed

· Maintain and update all documentation and most current programs

· Responsible for maintaining tools and creating new tools and software applications for internal and external customers.

Required Skills & Abilities:

· Extensive knowledge of computer systems.

· Extensive knowledge of data communications security procedures.

· Ability to install security software to monitor system usage.

· Familiar with Wireshark, netstat, netcat, nmap or equivalent tools.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education, License and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related field required.

· Minimum of 10 years’ experience working with Lenel and low voltage security systems, including system configuration (Certified Lenel Master Technician a plus).

· Experience with Remote Desktop Connections, Quick Assist, MS Suite, Wireshark, TCP/IP and basic networking.

· Experience working through large projects, interfacing to the end users as well as Information Technology professionals, and the ability for troubleshooting Enterprise security systems.

· SQL

· Windows Server 2012, 2016 and 2019

· Lenel-OnGuard certification to include hardware/ software

· Lenel Enterprise- Certification

· Lenel LNVR- Certification

Salary/Pay

$75,000.00 to $90,000.00 /year
