Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

The Mechanic position involves maintaining facility equipment safely and efficiently, in accordance with established procedures as directed by the Environmental Services Leader. This position will work in a large campus setting and will perform preventative maintenance on all types of building equipment.

Meadowlark is a mission-driven, not-for-profit organization committed to enriching the lives of seniors. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our Environmental Services team.

Qualifications:

• Experience in HVAC systems and general building maintenance.
• HVAC certification and mechanical licensing preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Commitment to safety and resident satisfaction.
• Must have a clean driving record, pass a drug test and become a Meadowlark approved driver.  

Job Responsibilities

• Repair appliances and participate in weekend on-call rotations.
• Support the planning and implementation of maintenance operations across grounds, buildings, and equipment.
• Maintain heating and cooling systems, inspecting for wear, leaks, and functionality—especially during seasonal transitions.
• Apply HVAC knowledge (Mechanical Journeyman License and EPA 608 certification preferred).
• Inspect and test fire alarms and emergency systems; maintain accurate records.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while fostering positive relationships with residents.
