Job Description

We are hiring immediately for a Sanitation Specialist for second shift! The Sanitation/Environmental Service Specialist is of great importance to the Grandma Hoerner's organization as they are the primary driving force in cleaning the precious day's soils from all processing machinery, in preparation for the next days' production. While working primarily in the kettle and packaging areas, other cleaning duties in the warehouse areas will be accomplished on a scheduled basis.

Qualifications:

  • Mechanical disassembly and reassembly of pumps, piping systems, and filling machines
  • Working with Foaming cleaners and chemicals
  • Other duties and assignments as needed or required
  • Ability to work on your feet for long hours
  • Ability to accomplish tasks while working by yourself
  • Ability to work in temperatures above 100 degrees
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Job Responsibilities

  • The three primary functions of Sanitation is to a) tear down processing equipment to its basic components to facilitate thorough cleaning, b) cleaning of all food residues and soils from all food contact surfaces including a final sanitizing step, and c) the rebuilding of all processing machines and components.
  • Additionally, Sanitation Specialists are responsible for fulfillment of assigned plant and facility Master Sanitation janitorial schedule routines, and additional functions as assigned.

Salary/Pay

Starting at $18.00/hr

$500 Sign-On Bonus
· $250 after 90 days of employment, $250 after 180 days of employment =$500

*To be eligible for the sign-on bonus, you cannot be a former employee of Grandma Hoerner’s Foods, or a temporary employee through a temp agency. All employees are eligible except for supervisor or management positions.
