Tim Flanary

Tim is originally from Montana and moved to Kansas at a young age. Attended school in North Central Kansas and Vo-Tech at Beloit. I moved to the Wamego area in 1980 to begin my career as an electrician for KP&L at the Jeffrey Energy Center. Retiring in 2018 from Westar Energy after a 33 year career. In addition to the time spent in power generation, I have been a Paramedic/Firefighter since 1978 serving for 5 years on a career Fire Department and for 41 years as a volunteer. I completed my BS degree in Business Management from Friends University in 2007. This has brought me into my current position as a Fire Business Specialist for the Kansas Forest Service. An additional job duty is to respond on large national incidents on Incident Command Teams. My wife Tresha and I are a blended family of 5, with 3 sons, 2 daughters, and 8 grandchildren.
