Fort Riley Application & Enrollment Steps

COMPLETE THE MANHATTAN TECH APPLICATION

Create an account and submit the Manhattan Tech Application, along with either a waiver code or the required fee. After you submit your application, please allow about 30 minutes for your checklist to update.

1. Go to the Application Portal

Visit the Manhattan Tech application portal: engage.manhattantech.edu/apply

You’ll see two options:

  • First Time Users
  • Returning Users

2. Create Your Engage Account

If you’ve never started a Manhattan Tech application before, select: First Time Users – Create an Account

Enter:

  • Your name
  • A personal email address (not your school email, not a Manhattan Tech email)
  • Your date of birth
  • A password you will remember

Once you submit the form, you will be emailed a confirmation pin. Open that email and enter the pin to activate your account.

3. Log In to Engage Portal

After activating your account:

  1. Return to engage.manhattantech.edu/apply
  2. Select Returning Users – Log In
  3. Enter your email and password

You will now be logged into your Slate status portal.

4. Start Your Application

Once logged in:

  1. Select Start a New Application
  2. Choose the appropriate application based upon applicant type
  3. Complete all required fields
  4. Submit your application

Make sure all information is accurate—especially your name. Whatever you enter on your application becomes the official name on your Manhattan Tech account.

​COMPLETE ANY REQUIRED FORMS OR CHECKLIST ITEMS

After submitting, your status portal will show:

Check back regularly for updates.

REQUEST OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS

Request an official high school transcript from the last high school that you attended (for GED transcripts, visit Request a GED)

AND

Request an official transcript(s) from all colleges attended. If you are sending transcripts electronically using a service such as eScrip, Parchment, or Credential Solutions, please email them to registrar@manhattantech.edu. If you’re having your official transcripts sent via mail, please have them sent directly to:

FINANCIAL AID/MILITARY EDUCATION BENEFITS (EXPLORE VARIOUS OPTIONS BELOW)

RESET MANHATTAN TECH PASSWORD

Once you’re accepted into a program, you’ll receive an email from Manhattan Tech with instructions to reset your Manhattan Tech account password. Please complete this step before attending orientation.

SUBMIT ONLINE INTENT & SEAT DEPOSIT

Students must submit a $250.00 non-refundable seat deposit and intent form for enrollment into the welding program classes. 

Note: This form will be sent to your Manhattan Tech email address upon completing the applicable admission requirements. Please get in touch with the Military Relations Student Success Advisor with any concerns regarding the seat deposit requirement.

SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT WITH AN ACADEMIC ADVISOR

After all applicable admissions requirements have been completed, you will be provided notice by admissions to schedule an appointment with an academic advisor for enrollment. To schedule an advising appointment book online.

SUBMIT PAYMENT & ATTEND CLASS

Students must have set up a payment option by the first day of class or have communicated with our Student Account Coordinator regarding payment options. If you have questions about tuition, please check out the business office webpage, or contact Student Accounts for more information.
