​COMPLETE AND SUBMIT ALL ADMISSIONS FORMS AND DOCUMENTS

REQUEST OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT(S)

  • Request an official high school transcript from the last high school that you attended (for GED transcripts, visit Request a GED)

AND

  • ​Request an official transcript(s) from all colleges attended. If you are sending transcripts electronically using a service such as eScrip, Parchment, or Credential Solutions, please email them to registrar@manhattantech.edu. If you’re having your official transcripts sent via mail, please have them sent directly to:

APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID

  • Don’t wait! The financial aid application process can take time, and funds cannot be awarded until we have received all documentation.
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa (you will need tax-related income information such as the Form 1040 and W2s). Manhattan Tech’s school code is: 005500.
  • Submit all required documents. To find out which documents are needed and which we have received, login to the Online Financial Aid System. You can also contact the Financial Aid Office.

FIND YOUR STARTING POINT

  • Take the free ACCUPLACER college placement test (complete information, including testing schedules, study guides, and sample test questions, can be found at the Testing Center)

WHAT’S NEXT?

You will receive an email to the personal address listed on your admissions application with login credentials for MATCOnline and your student email account. Make sure to check your email frequently for important information as that is the official means Manhattan Tech will communicate with you. Complete Non-Degree Seeking Application

Submit the Non-Degree Seeking application. Please allow at least ten (10) business days to process the application to be processed.

Account Set-Up

Once your application has been processed and you are a new student, you will receive an email to the personal email address you provided. This will provide instructions on accessing your student portal and resetting your temporary password. Your Manhattan Tech email will be used for all official communication.

Placement Assessment, if Applicable

Schedule an appointment for the Placement Assessment, if applicable. Manhattan Tech uses the Accuplacer Assessment for placement into math and English courses. Scheduling an assessment test can be completed on our website.

Registration Agreement & PIU

The PIU and RA are required before enrollment each semester. After logging in to MATC Online, the RA and PIU can be found on the right side of the home page under Course Schedules.

Enrollment with an Academic Advisor

An academic advisor will reach out to assist with enrolling and verifying if any outstanding requirements need to be met to enroll in the specific course(s).

Textbooks

Visit the Manhattan Tech Virtual Bookstore to order your textbooks.

Payment & Attendance

Students must set up a payment option by the first day of class or have communicated with our Student Account Coordinator regarding payment options. If you have questions about tuition, please get in touch with us at 785-320-4512 or studentaccounts@manhattantech.edu. Non-degree-seeking students should consult with FA to determine if they are eligible for financial aid.

IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS OR EXEMPTION REQUEST*

Tuberculosis - Report of Tuberculosis (TB) Skin Test OR TB Chest X-Ray Report).Must be completed within the past 6 months. Information about testing can be found on Riley County Health Department's website.

Influenza (Flu) Shot - Required during flu season in the fall and spring (not required in summer courses). Information about the flu vaccine can be found on the Riley County Health Department's website.

Evidence of COVID-19 Vaccine

Refer to the CDC’s Recommended Child and Adolescent Immunization Schedule OR Adult Immunization Schedule for additional guidance. Additional immunizations might be necessary in order to complete internship(s). 

CASAS READING TEST OR COMPLETION OF A COLLEGE-LEVEL COURSE

Schedule Exam $5.00 fee will need to be paid upon scheduling the exam

If you have taken a college-level writing course (English Composition, Expository Writing, etc.) and passed with a grade “C” or higher you will need to submit your transcript or grade report.

*Students may seek a medical or religious exemption from a clinical partner's vaccination requirement. Refer to the Vaccination and Exemption Webpage for more information.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ENROLLMENT

INACTIVE KANSAS CERTIFIED NURSE AIDE CREDENTIAL

Prospective students must hold the Kansas Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) credential, but are not active (certification has lapsed) and want to reactivate their CNA status. Look up Kansas CNA credentials at www.ksnurseaidregistry.org

REQUIREMENTS FOR ENROLLMENT

MEET PRE-REQUISITES

Must be 18 years of age, before beginning the course.

Must have a current active Kansas CNA certificate, without probations.

Must have computer and internet access to complete the online portion of the class.

IMMUNIZATION/TITER REQUIREMENTS OR EXEMPTION REQUEST*

Tetanus (TDAP) - One (1) dose taken less than 10 years ago - Please ask your healthcare provider to give you the TDAP vaccine.

Hepatitis B (Hep B) - Three (3) doses or proof of immunity by titer. If your titer is low, you should get the vaccine. Paperwork for a low titer will not be accepted.

NOTE: Students looking to participate in the Phlebotomy Clinical (ALH 1202) course are subject to additional immunization requirements.

KANSAS BOARD OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES EMT CERTIFICATION

Applicants must hold a Kansas Board of Emergency Medical Services EMT Certification, Without Probations. Information can be found at www.kemsis.org.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ENROLLMENT

MEET PRE-REQUISITES

Must be 17 years of age by the start of the course.

TWO PERSONAL DOCUMENTS

Current state-issued photo ID and Social Security card.

SUBMIT PRE-ENROLLMENT VERIFICATION FORM WITH REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Once you have all of the required materials for enrollment, click the link below to submit and upload the required documentation.

Short-Term Health Pre-Enrollment Verification Form

MATC STUDENT ACCOUNT CREDENTIALS EMAIL

  • Once the "Short-Term Health Pre-Enrollement Verification Form" is submitted, admissions will review your submission within five business days.
  • If all required documentation is provided, you will receive an email to the personal email address listed on the initial application. Follow the steps to reset the password for your MATC email account.

COMPLETE FINAL ENROLLMENT APPLICATION 

  • You will find a link to the enrollment application in the student account notification email, which must be completed along with the required course payment. This application and payment must be completed to finalize your course enrollment.

Please accurately fill out all forms. The way you spell your name on your application will become permanent on your Manhattan Tech account information. 

Reset Manhattan Tech Password

You will receive an email from Manhattan Tech with instructions on resetting your Manhattan Tech account password. Please do this before coming to orientation.

If you need assistance, you may come to campus during business hours, and a team member can assist you. 

Welcome Email From Adult Education

You will receive an email from adulted@manhattantech.edu welcoming you to the program and informing you of what to do next. 

This email will also include information about the next New Student Orientation you must attend to join the program.

Step 1: Application to Manhattan Tech 

New students (who have never enrolled in a Manhattan Tech college course before), must complete the High School Admissions Application to Manhattan Tech. Please allow at least seven business days for the processing of the application to be processed. 

Step 2: MATC Email and Online Account

Once your application has been processed, you will receive an email to your personal email address. This email will instruct you to access your student portal and reset your temporary password. Your MATC email will be used for all Manhattan Tech communication.

Step 3: Assessment (If Applicable)

Students must take the ACCUPLACER or show qualifying ACT scores* to enroll in English Composition I and College Algebra. See minimum qualifications below. To schedule a placement test, click here

Please note: All high school students strating fall 2025 are required to take the Accuplacer Assessment for entry into math and/or English courses. ACT scores will only be considered as an additional placement measure.

Step 4: High School Approval Enrollment Form 

They must complete this form to obtain the required signatures for each semester they wish to enroll in concurrent/dual credit courses. Once all the signatures have been acquired, the form will be sent to the Manhattan Tech Student Services office for processing, verification, and enrollment.

Step 6: Purchase Textbooks

Visit the Manhattan Tech Virtual Bookstore to order your textbooks. 

NOTE: Some high schools provide textbooks for specific courses. Check with your high school counselor before ordering.

Step 7: Submit Payment (If Applicable)

Your bill can be found on MATC Online, and a copy will be mailed to you. Payment can be made online, over the phone, or by mail. Payment plans are also available. Please call our business office at 785.320.4512 or email studentaccounts@manhattantech.edu for more information.

Students must submit a $250.00 non-refundable seat deposit and intent form for enrollment into the welding program classes. 

Note: This form will be sent to your Manhattan Tech email address upon completing the applicable admission requirements. Please get in touch with the Military Relations Student Success Advisor with any concerns regarding the seat deposit requirement.
