We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about patient care and eager to work in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. The Clinic LPN plays a vital role in supporting patient care through clinical and administrative tasks. This includes preparing patients for exams, assisting with procedures, administering medications, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. The LPN works closely with providers and the care team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications:

  • Current, unencumbered State of Kansas LPN licensure, or temporary permit to practice issued by the Kansas State Board of Nursing required.
  • Experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred
  • Strong knowledge of medical procedures and diagnostics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
  • Compassionate and team-oriented

Job Responsibilities

  1. Actively participate in patient care team, identifying and reporting patient needs to providers.
  2. Conduct pre-visit planning by reviewing charts and gathering relevant information (labs, imaging, ER reports).
  3. Prepare patients for exams by escorting them, taking histories, and recording vital signs.
  4. Perform routine lab procedures including phlebotomy; assist with EKGs, Spirometry, and administer injections.
  5. Maintain accurate documentation including triage calls, referrals, procedure results, pre-certifications, and refills.
  6. Operate medical equipment and maintain exam rooms, supplies, and sterilization of instruments.
  7. Participate in professional development activities as required.
  8. Ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA regulations.
  9. Perform general office tasks such as data entry, phone calls, emails, faxing, and copying.
  10. Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and caregivers.
  11. Apply practical nursing principles and skills to deliver patient care.
  12. Understand examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures.
  13. Demonstrate knowledge of medications and their effects.
  14. React calmly and effectively in busy or emergency situations.
  15. Interpret, adapt, and apply clinical guidelines and procedures.
  16. Adhere to all organizational policies including safety, attendance, and appearance standards.
  17. Ability to travel between assigned office locations.
