Auto Collision and Dental Hygiene Programs Being Discontinued

Author: Manhattan Tech

On January 28, 2020, after careful consideration, the Manhattan Area Technical College Board of Directors made the difficult decision to discontinue the Dental Hygiene and Automotive Collision Repair program. The College annually reviews programs/courses for financial stability, growth vitality, and economic impact regionally and locally, which has led to this determination. As a result, the College will cease admitting students into the Dental Hygiene and Automotive Collision Repair program effective Fall of 2020.

MATC will undergo a teach out year for the current Dental Hygiene students. This will allow them to complete the program during the 2020-2021 academic year.

For more information on the discontinuation of Automotive Collision Repair and Dental Hygiene program refer to President Genandt's news article with KMAN.
