Author: Manhattan Tech

Manhattan, KS, August 16, 2022 – WalletHub named Manhattan Area Technical college among the top community colleges in the nation according to its latest annual rankings.

Manhattan Tech ranked fourth out of 677 two-year colleges in the United States when determining where students receive the best education at the lowest price.

“We are thrilled to have this national recognition of our College,” Dr. James Genandt, President of Manhattan Area College, said.

“Manhattan Tech changes lives with the combined efforts of our faculty and staff. Our primary mission is workforce education for high demand, high wage, and critical need occupations for our service area, with a focus on occupations requiring less than a bachelor’s degree."

Each college was assessed across 19 key cost and quality indicators and within three key areas: cost and financing, education outcomes, and career outcomes.

Manhattan Tech has averaged 6.7 percent annual enrollment growth for the last four years. Further, 86 percent of graduates stay in the region, which benefits local economies and communities.
