Applying for Aid (NEW)

To maximize financial aid opportunities at Manhattan Tech, students should submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) by the priority deadlines for their enrollment term. Use Manhattan Tech's school code (005500) when completing the FAFSA during the academic year prior to receiving aid. For instance, a student seeking financial aid for their freshman year should apply during their senior year of high school. To meet the priority deadlines, submit the FAFSA as soon as it becomes available in October. Submissions after the priority deadlines are still eligible for aid, though some funds may no longer be available.

Steps to Prepare for Completing the FAFSA:

  • The information you provide on the FAFSA is used to determine your eligibility for need-based financial aid from the federal and state levels.
  • Watch this 2-minute video to learn how the FAFSA works:
  • Contributors are people who need to complete information on the FAFSA. This does not mean they have a financial obligation to pay for your education.
  • Contributors provide consent and approval to have their federal tax information transferred directly from the IRS into the FAFSA, then sign it.
  • Contributors could be…
    • You (the student)
    • Biological or adoptive parent
    • Parent’s spouse (a step-parent)
    • Student’s spouse
