As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent patient care and assisting our providers. Dr. William Witt provides patient care and performs surgery at several locations in north-central Kansas. Dr. Julie Witt provides optometric and post-operative care in our Manhattan office. Our practice focuses on management and surgical intervention of ocular disease, specifically in the areas of glaucoma and cataracts.

Experience:- Previous experience working in a medical office or ophthalmology setting (preferred)- Knowledge of ophthalmic equipment and instruments (preferred)- Familiarity with anatomy of the eye and common eye conditions (preferred)
Responsibilities:- Perform preliminary eye examinations, including visual acuity tests, tonometry, and lensometry- Administer eye drops and medications as directed by the physician- Conduct diagnostic tests such as visual field testing, tonometry, and optical coherence tomography (OCT)- Educate patients on proper eye care- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical record (EMR)- Coordinate patient appointments and manage patient flow within the clinic- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing their concerns and answering their questions- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour (based on education/experience)
