System Requirements

These are the system guidelines for student devices, and what hardware and software we support.

Please keep in mind each department might have additional requirements. These requirements are listed at the bottom of the page. It could be possible to use something not listed, but it may require you installing additional software. Unfortunately, this additional software cannot be supported.

Minimum Hardware/Software supported
Operating System - Microsoft Windows 10, Apple OSX 10.14 Mojave, or Ubuntu 20.04 LTS or newer
Processor/Memory - Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen or better, 8GB of RAM for typical use
Wireless - We Implement 802.11ac with WPA2-Enterprise with 802.1x, your device must support this or you will be unable to join the wireless.

Mobile Devices

We require students to have some form of laptop or desktop. These are what we recommend if you choose a supplemental device for classwork.

Operating System - Microsoft Windows 10, Android 6.0, Apple IOS10

Additional Software

There are also browsers and plugins that are required/recommended to access coursework and classroom resources.

  • Browser - We recommend a browser such as Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome
  • PasswordManager - We strongly recommend a password manager such as BitWarden or Lastpass, this will make it easier to use a secure password on all your accounts.
