Tim is originally from Montana and moved to Kansas at a young age. He attended school in North Central Kansas and Vo-Tech at Beloit. He moved to the Wamego area in 1980 to begin his career as an electrician for KP&L at the Jeffrey Energy Center, retiring in 2018 from Westar Energy after a 33-year career. In addition to the time spent in power generation, he has been a Paramedic/Firefighter since 1978, serving for 5 years on a career Fire Department and for 41 years as a volunteer.
He completed his BS degree in Business Management from Friends University in 2007. This has brought Tim into his current position as a Fire Business Specialist for the Kansas Forest Service. One of Tim's additional job duties is to respond to large national incidents on Incident Command Teams. Tim and his wife Tresha are a blended family of 5, with 3 sons, 2 daughters, and 8 grandchildren.
