Important Information
Please arrive no later than 45 minutes before the ceremony. Dressed in your cap and gown. Check-in at the registration table to obtain your name card.
Upon check-in, you will be directed to be staged alphabetically with your program. You will remain there until directed to walk to your seat.
Please leave all valuables in your locked car or with your guests, as there is no location to store personal belongings.
Parking
Students and guests, please park in the UCC (marked with a star) or surrounding parking lots.
Please note there is limited parking. Attendees are welcome to leave vehicles at MATC and carpool to UCC.
Guests
Seating for guests will begin approximately 30 minutes before Nursing Pinning. Seating for Commencement will begin promptly after the conclusion of Nursing Pinning.
Seating is first-come, first-serve. Please ask your guests to be seated upon entry.
There is accessible seating located both upstairs and downstairs at the facility.

Manhattan Tech will be taking photos of graduates after they walk across the stage. A picture of each graduate with their award will be available no later than January 31
st
, 2025, and can be found here:

Please ask your guests to remain in their seats during the ceremony.
Attire
All graduates will sit by the program and in alphabetical order within their program.
When it is time to receive your award, you must give your name card to the presenter by the podium. Please wait for your announced name and then walk across the stage. You will receive your diploma cover and then exit the stage.
After walking across the stage, please follow the ushers’ instructions for pictures and then return to your seat
Ceremony
Everyone will be seated by program and in alphabetical order within their program.

When do I receive my award in the mail?
Participants at the commencement will receive a
leather diploma cover
during the ceremony.
Each graduating student will receive their degree award, a letter of congratulations, a printed version of the Commencement Program, and ONE official MATC transcript (sealed in an MATC envelope). The Registrar mails the packet to the address you verified at the commencement check-in table. If you require an official transcript before receiving your packet in the mail, you may order your transcript from our website and pay the fee.
Please allow 12-14 weeks for the graduation packet in the mail. The graduating student must complete and submit their “Intent to Graduate” form successfully and pay the $25 fee before the Registrar’s Office will send the diploma packet.
