Chris Boxberger

Chris, a native of the South Chicagoland area in Illinois, began his journey at Kansas State University as a Music Education major before transitioning to Social Sciences with a minor in Music, earning his degree in 2012. While at K-State, Chris met his wife, Samantha, now the Band Director at Junction City High School.

While in college, Chris balanced full-time work at a local auto parts store and an automotive service shop. Though he enjoyed the automotive industry, his passion for education led him back to K-State, where he pursued and completed a Master’s degree in Academic Advising in 2015.

During his graduate studies, Chris joined USD 383, taking on roles such as Computer Lab Assistant, At-Risk Advisor for middle schools, and Advisor/Technology Instructor at the Adult Learning Center. He also contributes to his community by volunteering as the Drumline and Percussion Instructor at Junction City High School during the fall semester.

Outside of work, Chris is an avid comic book collector and enjoys restoring vintage vehicles in his spare time, with his current favorite project being a 1979 Triumph Spitfire.
