Program Details

As an MHK Pathway student, you'll begin your college journey by taking classes at both Manhattan Tech and Kansas State University during your first year. Each fall and spring semester, students enroll in a minimum of 9 transferable credit hours at Manhattan Tech and 3 credit hours at K-State.

The MHK Pathway program is designed to help students successfully transition to K-State. To become eligible for admission as a degree-seeking K-State student for the following fall semester, students must:

Admissions & Eligibility

The MHK Pathway program is available by invitation from Kansas State University. Students who apply for freshman admission to K-State but do not initially meet the university's admission requirements may be invited to participate in this unique partnership with Manhattan Tech.

MHK Pathway provides students with an opportunity to begin earning transferable college credits, receive personalized academic support, and experience college life while working toward admission to K-State.

Tuition, Fees & Estimated Costs

As an MHK Pathway student, you'll enroll at both Manhattan Tech and K-State, so tuition and fees are assessed by each institution based on the courses you take.

At Manhattan Tech, tuition and student fees are charged per credit hour, with the same tuition rate for both Kansas residents and out-of-state students. K-State tuition, fees, housing, and dining costs are billed separately according to university rates.

Financial Aid

During your first year in the MHK Pathway program, Manhattan Tech serves as your home institution for financial aid. Our Financial Aid Office processes and awards eligible federal and state financial aid for participating students.

To be considered for financial aid:

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Include Manhattan Tech's Federal School Code: 005500
If you've already submitted your FAFSA listing only K-State, simply log back in and add Manhattan Tech's school code.

Housing & Dining

One of the unique advantages of the MHK Pathway program is the opportunity to live on the K-State campus while attending classes at both institutions.

Students live in designated K-State residence halls and enjoy the benefits of campus living, including easy access to student organizations, campus events, academic resources, and dining services. Participants currently have reserved housing options in Marlatt Hall and Goodnow Hall and select a K-State meal plan as part of the program.

With Manhattan Tech located just 2.5 miles from K-State, students can easily commute between campuses while enjoying the best of both college experiences.
