Connecting with Mac OS

Simple Instructions

Automatically configuring your MacOS computer for “ManhattanTech” wireless access is easy. These simple instructions give you the basics. See the “Detailed Instructions” below for more in-depth steps.

  1. Select ManhattanTechOnBoarding from the list of wireless networks provided.
  2. If a window does not launch with the next steps:
    Launch a web browser, such as Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, or Edge and navigate to “joinwifi.matc.net” to get to the next step
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Your computer will automatically be configured for "ManhattanTech" wireless access. When the configuration is done, you should be automatically be switched over to the "ManhattanTech" wireless network, if it does not, switch to "ManhattanTech" network and forget the "ManhattanTechOnBoarding" network.

Detailed Instructions

Follow the instructions below to automatically configure your computer to connect to "ManhattanTech" wireless.

1. Select "ManhattanTechOnBoarding" from the list of wireless networks provided. See figure 1 Figure 1

2. If a window does not launch with the next steps:

3. Click the Sign In button. See figure 3 Figure 3

4. Sign in using your Manhattan Tech credentials.  Figure 4

5. Once connected you should be redirected to a usage acceptance page. Read and click “JoinNow”. By clicking the JoinNow button you accept the terms and condiditons. See Figure 5

6. A download prompt will open where you will download a  connection profile (SecureW2.mobileconfig) to put the wireless certificate on your device. See figure 6

7. Once downloaded, refer to your download in your browser, or your Downloads folder in Finder. See figure 7 Figure 7

8. A notification may pop up "Profile Installation" asking to review the profile. Click on this prompt. See figure 8 Figure 8

8.1 If your System Settings does not open, click the Apple logo in the top left of your screen and then click "System Settings" See figure 8.1 Figure 8.1

8.2 In System Settings, select "Privacy & Security" on the left. Then scroll to the bottom and select "Profiles". See figure 8.2 Figure 8.2

9. In Profiles, Double-Click to review the Manhattan Tech certificate. See figure 9 Figure 9

10.  Review the profile details and select "Install..." at the bottom left. See figure 10 Figure 10

12. Once SecureW2 completes the enrollment process your device should be moved you over to the "ManhattanTech" network. Your computer is now securely configured for wireless access.

Note: Check if your device switched networks. If your device still shows as on "ManhattanTechOnboarding" switch over manually to "ManhattanTech" by selecting it in your Wifi settings. See figure 12

13. Forget the "ManhattanTechOnboarding" network. 
In your System Settings, select "Wi-Fi" on the left.
Select the three dots icon on the ManhattanTechOnboarding line, and then select "Forget This Network..." See figure 13
