The Manhattan Tech Adult Education Team attended the annual Kansas Adult Education Association (KAEA) conference held in Wichita, Kansas, March 30-April 1, 2022. The Kansas Adult Education Association has been in in existence since the mid-1940's, and serves as a valuable resource and support system for adult educators across the state. 

NursingProcess.org studies nursing programs in each state. Out of twenty-six (26) nursing schools in Kansas, NursingProcess has ranked Manhattan Area Technical College #1 for offering the Best ADN Program in the state. The College scored a whopping 98.17% in their ranking system!

Manhattan Tech students Kimberly Fletcher and Chad Wollenberg competed, June 16-18, 2021, at the SkillsUSA's 57th National Leadership and Skills Conference, the world's largest showcase of skilled trades. 

In April, Manhattan Tech students Kimberly Fletcher and Chad Wollenberg competed at the SkillsUSA Kansas State Leadership and Skills Competition. Chad competed in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, while Kimberly competed in Medical Math & Terminology. Both received gold medals in their respective competitions.

The new Kansas Micro-Internships program was launched in February 2021 and is open to all students enrolled in the 32 Kansas public colleges and universities. More than 500 students have already registered, and most of the participating institutions are actively encouraging their students to do the same.

Virtual Career-Building Workshop

DeBruce Foundation is hosting a free 1/2-day hands-on, virtual career-building workshop for college students from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday, April 17th.

Wallet Hub released findings on the 2020’s Best & Worst Community Colleges in which they assessed where students can receive the best education at the lowest price. Wallet Hub compared more then 700 community colleges across 17 key indicators related to cost and quality. Some of those indicators consisted of cost of in-state tuition, graduation rate, and student-faculty ratio. Across those indicators Manhattan Area Technical college ranked #1 in the state of Kansas for the third year in a row and nationally ranked #129.

Manhattan Tech is now offering 12-week general education courses! Many of these courses are approved as a Kansas Board of Regents Systemwide Transfer Course to be accepted as general education credit at any public post-secondary institution in Kansas. Courses are offered at both our Manhattan Campus and Wamego Center.
