William K. Allen (Will)

William K. Allen (Will), is a native of Charlottesville, Virginia. He joined the United States Army 02 April 1985 as a Combat Engineer. He conducted One Station Training at Fort Leonard Wood MO and attended Airborne School at Fort Benning GA. Upon completion of his training he was shipped to Germany for his first duty assignment. I was also stationed in Fort Devens, MA; Korea; Fort Campbell; Fort Hood; Fort Hamilton; Fort Riley; Fort Bliss; Virginia Military Institute, and Fort Leonard Wood Mo. He serves every position from small group leader to managing and leading 3500 personnel and over 400M dollars’ worth of equipment. William attended all Military Leadership courses from small group leaders’ course to attending the US Army Sergeants Major Academy. William is married to Samantha Allen and have 5 kids; Leondra (35), Dranika (32), Terrence (27), Demetri (26), and Geneva (19). They have 8 grandchildren. He enjoys all sports and working-out. After retirement from the US Army, he spent two and half years in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) as a Tactical Advisor and Consultant for the Land Forces Engineer Brigade Commander. Upon the completion of that contract he returned to Fort Riley to work as a Counter Improvise Explosive Device Trainer. William currently works at the Mission Training Complex (MTC) as the training manager.
