Description

Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) give direct care to patients in a variety of settings under the immediate supervision of a registered nurse, physician, or dentist.

The Practical Nursing program at MATC provides preparation for the LPN role through classroom and clinical experiences, using the Kansas Practical Nursing Core Curriculum. Upon completion of the program, graduates will be eligible to apply for licensure as practical nurses and to take the National Council Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEXPN). The curriculum also serves as the first level for students who want to continue their education in nursing.

This program aligns with the Kansas Board of Regents curriculum.
