The Fall 2019 Commencement Ceremony was held at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, December 21, at the Kansas State University Grand Ballroom.

Ceremony Highlights

Commencement speaker included Dave Lewis. He has been a Radio Broadcaster for over 35 years; he is currently serving as the Program Director and Morning Show Host on News Radio KMAN. Dave has been quite active in the community, serving as a Riley County Commissioner, and as a board member for the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce, Manhattan Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Johnson Cancer Research Center at K-State andseveral other non-profit organizations. Dave has been recognized as the Manhattan Chamber’s “Volunteer of the Year”, Sertoma “Man of the Year,” and was inducted into the Kansas Association of Broadcasting Hall of Fame this year. Dave attended Cloud County Community College, he is the owner of Dave Lewis Entertainment and has hosted thousands of events including wedding receptions, game shows, and community events. Since 2006, Dave’s booming voice is also heard at K-State Football and Men’s Basketball games where he is the Wildcats’ public address announcer, and he is recognized across the community as the “Voice of Manhattan”. He is an advocate for Mental Health awareness, cancer awareness and special needs. He is the proud father of Casey and Noah.

The Fall 2019 class consisted of 54 graduates who earned nearly 31 associate degrees, 15 general education diplomas, and 8 technical certificates.
