Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) give direct care to patients in a variety of settings under the immediate supervision of a registered nurse, physician, or dentist.

Manhattan Area Technical College maintains compliance with Federal Regulation for State Authorization 34 CFR 668.43(a)(5)(v) and provides public notifications for programs leading to professional licensure or certification for all modalities. Associate Degree Nursing

Registered nurses with an associate degree are skilled health care providers who administer nursing care directly to patients and their families in a variety of settings.

The Associate Degree program at MATC provides a bridge from being a licensed practical nurse to becoming a professional nurse through courses and clinical practice. Graduates are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).

This program aligns with the Kansas Board of Regents curriculum.
