Teaching & Learning Center (TLC)

 The Teaching & Learning Center (TLC) provides student resources and free tutoring.

Collection and Unpaid Accounts

If you have an outstanding unpaid balance, your account may be sent to collection as indicated in our MATC Student Financial Responsibility Statement.

Our Process

Prior to sending your account to collection, the Student Account Specialist will attempt to notify you about your outstanding debt using your current MATC email account and the mailing address we have on file.

If you receive a collection communication from MATC, review your student account online:

Returned Checks

If your check accepted by Manhattan Tech is returned by the bank for insufficient funds, it will be resubmitted once. We will then follow our processes to collect payment.

If your check is returned for the following reasons:

  • Insufficient funds after subsequent resubmission
  • Closed or invalid account
  • Stop payment or unauthorized payment

Student Financial Responsibility Statement

When you become a Manhattan Tech student, you take on financial responsibilities as outlined in Manhattan Tech policies.

2018-2019 Financial Aid Acceptance Form

This form is required to inform the financial aid office how much of your student loans you want to accept.  Please note:  this process is typically done using the Online Financial Aid System.

2018-2019 Professional Judgement Request

This form may be submitted if a significant change has occurred to the student’s and/or parent’s financial situation from the previous year. After a student submits this form and the required documentation, the financial aid office will determine if an adjustment to the student’s aid eligibility can be made.
