Tools, Supplies, & Seat Deposits

Some academic programs require you to have equipment, tools, supplies, and uniforms on the first day of class. Other programs have compiled a tool kit that is required for the students to purchase that will be attending those programs. The tool kits and supplies will be available on program orientation day. On program orientation, day students will be required to submit a non-refundable seat deposit. Refer below for seat deposit and tool requirements for each program.

Practical Nursing Entrance Exam

TEAS Testing for Practical Nursing

The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is a requirement for entry into the Practical Nursing program at Manhattan Tech.  TEAS scores are one piece of information used to rank applicants for admission.  The highest score will be used when ranking applicants.

ADN Entrance Exam

A&P Assessment - Associate Degree of Nursing

The ATI A&P Assessment is a requirement for entry into the Associate Degree Nursing program at Manhattan Tech.  These scores are one piece of information used to rank applicants for admission.  The highest score will be used when ranking applicants.

CASAS Reading Test

Prior to enrollment in a CNA or CMA course, prospective students may be required to complete a CASAS reading test.  The CASAS reading test is used by Manhattan Tech to qualify enrollment into CNA and CMA continuing education courses.  Even if you are not sure when you might actually enroll in a CNA or CMA class, we advise you to complete this assessment in order to be ready to enroll as new classes are opened.

ACCUPLACER Assessments

ACCUPLACER tests are used as part of the enrollment process at Manhattan Tech.  They test your knowledge of math, reading, and writing.  ACCUPLACER will be used along with your academic and career goals to assist with your enrollment.  They specifically assess your readiness for certain math and writing courses.

Construction Technology

The Construction Technology (Building Trades) program at Manhattan Tech offers training in residential and commercial construction needed in the workforce today. This training uses the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) curriculum. Course work includes safety, blueprint reading, tools and materials, framing, interior and exterior finishing, roofing, cabinets, and concrete work. Hands-on application and practice of skills is accomplished through the construction of projects within the local area.

Associate Degree Nursing (Bridge) Post-Acceptance

The criteria listed within this page are only for currently enrolled spring 2023 Manhattan Tech Practical Nursing students seeking to bridge to the ADN program starting in Fall 2023.
